Successful ISO 27001:2022 transition for Performance in People

Performance in People successfully transitioning to ISO 27001:2022

Having initially achieved ISO 27001 certification in 2017 with support from Teamwork IMS, Performance in People, sought to transition to the latest version of the ISO 27001 (Information Security) Standard (ISO 27001:2022) this year.

Performance in People currently holds high volumes of data for many major UK brands and therefore data security is imperative to their continued success and growth.

Teamwork IMS worked with Performance in People in:-

–    Providing awareness training in relation to the key changes in the ISO 27001:2022 Standard

–    Provision, review and update of an ISO 27001:2022 transition checklist, to support in the identification of key gaps in relation to the new Standard

–    Providing guidance on implementing new controls in key areas such as: requirements for cloud exit strategies, threat intelligence and secure coding.

–    Updating core documentation to reflect how Performance in People meet the new requirements of the Standard

–    Supporting and attending Performance in People’s external transition process with Alcumus ISOQAR

Performance in People successfully achieved transition to ISO 27001:2022 in March 2024, further assuring their clients and business stakeholders that they can have confidence in the way Performance in People operate in relation to information security.

 

What is the ISO 27001:2022 transition period?

The transition period for ISO 27001:2022 began on October 31, 2022, and it will end on October 31, 2025. During this time, organisations that are already certified to ISO 27001:2013 have three years to transition to the new standard. From May 1, 2024, all initial (new) certifications should be to the ISO 27001:2022 edition, and all recertification audits are recommended to utilise the ISO 27001:2022 edition after this date. So, make sure to plan your transition accordingly!
